These awards and certificates recognize individuals, communities, organizations, agencies and companies that excel in environmental education (EE). Nominations must be postmarked by: Wednesday, October 13, 2004 MEEA Certification ProgramThe MEEA Certification Program recognizes formal and non-formal educators who have attained a certain level of proficiency in the field of environmental education. Certification is a voluntary program that provides recognition of an individual’s knowledge and skills in environmental education. It constitutes acknowledgment by MEEA that a certified environmental educator has met standards of preparation, professional experience and continuing education. MEEA Email BulletinThe MEEA Email Bulletin is a members-only bi-monthly email bulletin provided to MEEA members. MEEA News supplements MEEA’s printed quarterly newsletter for members. MEEA News provides timely news and information that may not be published in the newsletter due to production deadlines and space limitations. MEEA NewsletterWould you like to share information with MEEA members? Submit it to the MEEA newsletter! Just follow these Submission Guidelines. MEEA's most current newsletter is available online to members only. Join MEEA to receive yours! Archived newsletters are available to the general public in Adobe PDF format. Member DirectoryAs a service to its members, MEEA publishes a Member Directory each year. The Directory lists the name, affiliation, mailing address, phone and fax numbers, and email address of each MEEA member so that members can locate and contact one another easily. Join MEEA to get your copy of the Member Directory and easy access to contact information about environmental educators throughout Missouri! Missouri EE DatabaseThe MEEA Communications Committee and the new Communications Coordinator are working to launch the MEEA Online Database. The Database will be an outstanding tool for MEEA members and people interested in environmental education all over the state to find programs, resources, teaching aids, events and more—all on one website! The Database will also be a great marketing and promotional tool for organizations with environmental education programs. |
August 2008 What's New:
For the 2008 EE Conference, Sustain Mizzou, the Missouri University's award winning student environmental group will share how a focus on leadership as well as sustainability has made them a force for effective change.
