Our Vision is an environmentally responsible citizenry in Missouri

Our Mission is to provide innovative professional development and networking opportunities for Missouri's Environmental Educators, both for teachers in the classroom and for educators in agencies and organizations, to help them help Missourians become more environmentally responsible.

Joining MEEA

You can help us with our vision of an environmentally responsible citizenry in Missouri by becoming a Member of MEEA and by actively participating in our activities - attending or presenting at our conference, participating in or providing a professional development workshop, submitting information about events and activities in your region, taking a leadership role in the organization, and/or undertaking the certification program.

"Professional Development" includes

• Certification: a description of the MEEA Environmental Education Certification program with information on how to enroll (MO DESE does not have certification in EE, so this has no official standing - yet)
• Conference: the website for the annual conference
• Workshops: the professional development workshops that satisfy requirements for the Environmental Education Certification, updated monthly
• Events: a list of events that might be of interest to an environmental educator (but do not qualify as professional development) sorted by region, updated monthly
