PAUSE Program students build bee habitats

PAUSE participants (left to right) Brittany Buckles, Charling Chen, Bingbin Zhou and Anna Villanyi build a sculpture that will serve as a habitat for leaf cutter bees and other bee species native to Missouri at the St. Louis Zoo maintenance facility on Thursday, May 30, 2013. The piece, which is made from all recycled parts, will be placed in a Florissant community garden created to help foster bee pollination for the PAUSE (Pollinators, Art, Urban Agriculture, Society and the Environment) program. PAUSE is supported by Museums Connect and The St. Louis Zoo is the facilitator. Photo by Christian Gooden, cgooden@post-dispatch.com. See more photos at:St. Louis Post Dispatch
